What colour is your nursery? Or more importantly, how did you pick the wall colour and design palette for your nursery?
Did you end up with a drawer full of paint chip cards from interchangeable large home improvement stores? Did you choose the most snobbish name in the Farrow & Ball line and call it a day? Give up and leave the walls 'apartment white'?
Nurseries are tough to design because most of us are starting from scratch, and it can be intimidating to try to settle on a colour scheme, which is why we are enjoying playing around on the Colour Lovers site so much.
Colour Lovers is dedicated to monitering colour trends, and their motto is, "fight for love in the colour revolution." We like the simple and direct colour theory basics, and the interviews are inspirational. Don't miss the interview with Grace Bonney (of design*sponge), talking about her favourite palette and the importance of good lighting.
Its fun to browse the premade palettes - we especially liked Moonlight, I Can Change, and Fruit Sorbet, at right, and Dirty Laundry and And Then It Hit Me, up top.
Even more fun is making your own palette, using the add your own palette tool, which seems like a great way to experiment a little before committing to a colour scheme. We can't stop playing with this nifty little colour tool.
