Project by: Tommaso Guerra
Location: Rome, Italy
It's true: cat cafés are becoming a thing! Tommaso Guerra was hired to design the interior of the Romeow Cat Bistrot which is home to six cats and host to cat-loving bistro customers. Guerra steered clear of kitschy, sad cat lady clichés and turned it into a welcoming, comfortable feline/human hangout.
The bistro serves "sophisticated vegan and raw cuisine and pastry" so assuming cats aren't gaga for beetroot, they likely won't pester customers for food samples.
Guerra's aim was to create a setting that felt familiar and cozy and would feel more like home or a friend's home than a restaurant.
