Ok, we get too excited over things like this, but here goes: A new market is opening in Chicago with a focus on organics and natural foods at good prices. Hooray!
Biking down Clybourn last Friday, we saw a new paint job on the old Thomasville furniture shop (across from Jason, just north of Trader Joe's). We stopped and peeked in. A Sunflower Market is moving in and is set to open on August 30.
We zipped home and did a search...
The site looks great and their "about us" sounds fabulous. We love the that they do 100% organic whenever possible and that they will feature local products. The prices in the monthly newsletter look good.
We know that we are lucky to have the variety of Trader Joe's, Stanley's, Whole Foods, Dirk's and Treasure Island (and Sams!), but we love to cook so any new food market is music to our ears. Some folks over at LTHForum are talking about it too...here is their thread.
Thoughts on a new place to grocery shop? Whats your favorite local place to buy food and why?
