If you don't have much space and need an extra workstation, which is a given when more than one person is working from home, then you'll need a laptop desk. These desks can be quite small and compact, but they'll get the job done when you're in a bind. While there are better-looking permanent solutions, these will perform well if you choose well.
1. The Mox Storch: Created by the Swiss designer Nando Schmidlin for the furniture company Mox, the Storch desk gets the job done pretty nicely. We like how it uses a wall for a pretty decent-sized desk.

3. DIY Super Slim Laptop Desk: This DIY solution is made from IKEA parts and fits the bill for a compact laptop desk, while remaining unobtrusive and utilitarian. Since this desk was cobbled together, you can easily add some storage in the form of baskets or small drawers.

I love #1 and #4.
Less is more for me when it comes to desks.
I used the mini parsons desk from West Elm when I had a small apartment, worked perfectly for just a laptop, also has a drawer.
Can also work nicely as an entryway table or a vanity if you no longer need it as a desk.
