Any time I see the complementary colors red and green together, I instantly think of the Holiday Season. There are so many shades and variations of green and red. Have you ever given thought to an entire room almost all designed using these two colors?
If you like the combination of these two colors, now would be the time to play around. If you make a mess of things people may just admire your holiday spirit!

Red and green are my favorite colors. Since I use a lot of Victorian antiques the colors are dark though, like deep red and forest green.
Well, we kind of have it by default...the house we bought already had avocado walls in the LR and we have a pumpkin orange couch...not quite red but next to it!
Actually I've seen and done a few rooms in red and green. When a client asks for those colors - Xmas is always my first thought and we talk about it. There are tons of fabrics today with a red and green theme which don't bring to mind Xmas. However it's not usually the berry red's and kelly green's of the holiday. Red and green offers lots of non-holiday interior decor options.
I love red and green but feel that one should always be desaturated if you're going to use them both together in large quantities or covering a large area. for example a pale mint with a bright red, or a a light rose with a kelly or forest...
Why, oh why must I fall in love with a $14,000 sofa?!
Our bedroom is done in what I think of as "fall colors"--olive green, maroon, gold, dark orange, cream, etc. We have one of my quilts hanging over the bed, and it has pumpkins and fall leaves on it. The bed has olive flannel sheets and a cream-colored fleece blanket with more fall leaves appliqued on the corners. So lots of red and green but it doesn't feel Xmas-y at all.
Coral red and lime green are the dominant colours in our living room and kitchen.
