The cold stone of a concrete floor is rarely considered beautiful. Post-modern perhaps, warehouse-like, or even vintage but beauty does not typically factor into the equation. Yet many office spaces, lofts, and basements have concrete as their showcase flooring. So how can you turn this industrial-style flooring into something more personal?
The smart people at Transparent House have created this design in the floor with the vines and floors to make a masculine-feeling floor more feminine and interesting. With this simple idea, think of the fun you could have creating designs that are either drawn while setting or carved out after it has set! Another easy and removable add-on for apartment dwellers are wall art stickers. So see how you can spice up the drab idea of concrete!

This is BEAUTIFUL. Almost makes me wish I had some concrete to dress up!
I LOVE it!
Love it too - would love to see more pictures!
Nice design. The only downfall is that cuts/grooves in concrete are hard to keep clean because they attract dirt and dust (almost all the floors in our house are concrete).
Love the look, but I'd sooner eat glass than live with bare concrete floors -- they kill my feet and back. Is it just me?
Has that concrete floor been sealed before being painted with concrete paint to be able to lay down that design?
Reminds me of travelling through the Ukraine, as many of the houses there have similar designs painted on the walls. Very few houses had wallpaper out there !!
Was their website confusing to anybody else? I sure couldn't find the concrete design. I had this picture saved from years ago and didn't label it, so it was neat seeing it again....but I still need to find out what they did exactly.
Lizzykewl, yes I think that their website has changed since this picture was originally put up. I think now it is part of their design company, so it may not be available for purchase.
Graeme from springcleanti I believe it has been sealed. Glad you all liked it! Concrete isn't for everyone, but when it works for your space (or there aren't other options) this is a fun twist. The wall stickers are fun too.
I have finished Concrete Floors in my house and I LOVE them!!! I can't wait to finish them throughout the rest of the house!!! This vine idea though is the perfect way to feminize the otherwise masculine material. I'm totally doing this in my guest bathroom!!!

I couldn't find this exact stencil but this one looks very similar!
