Conference Space Loaded with Téchor Ideas

The other day we were at the megaplex getting ready to watch the horror flick Quarantine when an advertisement for the theater came up on the big screen selling the use of the space as an offsite conference space. We looked around and thought, these arena seats do not scream creative brainstorming. Rather it's a space for some CEO to speak at you instead of with you. If we were to meet up with our employers and coworkers we'd much rather do it at New York's Meet at the Apartment.

Created by the founders of street art blog, the Wooster Collective, Meet at the Apartment is a series of spaces in lower Manhattan that not only provide a creative space to work together in, but it's got tons of fantastic téchor (yes, we just made that up!) ideas for each of our homes.

Meet is a two-story, 2,500-square-foot, loft that can accommodate 35 for sit-down presentations. There are two breakout rooms (each with lounge furniture, phone chargers, iMac station and 65" high-definition presentation screens), and a bright, open space kitchen complete with fully stocked pantry, refrigerator filled with beverages and "kitchen table" large enough to accommodate 10. There's also a library stocked with more than 100 art, design and photography reference books.

Paper Voyeur wallpaper encases each other rooms, this one is called Liquorice Cherry.
The White Room is a 1,000-square-foot conference room featuring a Vitra conference table and Worknest chairs, a mobile 65" high definition presentation screen, whiteboard walls with gator shelving to present creative boards and computer, TV and telephone access.
The Lounge features phone chargers, iMac station, and a 65" high-definition presentation screen with a corresponding PC and Mac-compatible workstation. Accent pieces and custom furniture by such noted designers as Tom Dixon, Marcel Wonders and Tobias Wong.

The entire space holds three 65" High-Definition Presentation Screens for presentations and videos with HD TV, a corresponding PC and Mac compatible workstation for each presentation screen, broadband wifi, a fully integrated distributed audio system, iPod compatible equipment, Polycom conference call systems with wireless lapel mics, and a Konica Minolta color printer and photocopier.
