Ercol Bar Stool
Pillow made from a Mola, textile artform of the Kuna people.
The pillow is made from a mola, which is an cotton fabric applique picture made by the Kuna women of the San Blas islands of Panama. I dunno about the rug.
That's exactly what I thought about the pillow. We have a couple of molas, but that one is amazing!
I collect molas, but that is the most gorgeous mola I've ever seen. Wow.
The rug (from what I can see of it) looks like a handmade Persian Heriz.
I love handmade pillows and rugs.
The pillow has a design I haven't seen before. I think every living room should have something handmade precious work and meaning has been put into.
Contemporary art? This is a POSTER... come on support a living artist. The sculpture is amazing though and would be better off alone on the wall.
Everybody is right about the Mola pillow, except that the tribe is now called Guna Yala, just a small correction from a fellow Panamanian :) Now I want to go back to my country and get myself one just like it :)
