With themes ranging from violence, to death and even sex, these extreme cuckoo clocks by German artist Stefan Strumbel play with the idea of a modern Germany and Bavarian cool and kitsch.

Ercol Bar Stool
Very cool and colorful.. Great design I would collect them.
M:-)
These are fun but I'd like them better without the pop-punk cartoon skull and crossbones.
I'm all for color and I'm not opposed to redesigning classic pieces, but I have to admit these are the ugliest cuckoo clocks I've ever seen.
I think these are mostly hideous. But I might feel differently if, as somecraftydame suggests, the stupid pop skull & bones weren't there.
Yeah, I agree these are visually appealing, until you look at what is actually on it. The skull might even be okay but the guns and the hanging rodent is a little weird. The pig also reminds me of Lord of the Flies. Creepy.
I want to like them... darn.
Ugh, these are terrible. And feel really played out too.
ew!!!
I like them! In a pop-arty Japanesey kitsch street everything rolled into one way I could see them rocking out.
I like the fourth one.
I see the skull and crossbones and cross as a sort of momento mori - you know, time ticking away bringing us ever close to death....
My Husband would love these!
i really like these.
Likey.
