This modern home in Amsterdam was designed around the Cradle to Cradle principle of intelligent design. The townhome combines the latest green technologies with tried-and-true low tech design to be energy neutral.

FARO Architects designed the home to generate its own energy with wind turbines and heat hot water with roof-mounted solar heatpipes. Made almost entirely of wood, the home also features a large branch that honors the Japanese tradition of including living or natural elements in the design.
