We love the industrial look of shop lights (call us crazy) but we've never been too keen on the extreme heat and over powering light outside that they admit. Sure they're great if you're working in a dark garage, under the hood of a car, but if you're using them in a place that already has a little light, here's a great conversion to allow them to use a CFL bulb instead!

We ran across this great little tutorial over on Flickr from member ukespresso who also happens to run Mark Hoy Photography. He makes the transition from one light type to the other feel completely doable even for a beginner diy-er still getting their feet wet in the electrical world. There's only a few supplies required to make the change and we promise will have you sweating less while you're under the lights doing projects (or just incorporating them into your decor like we will be!).
Check out the full tutorial on Flickr to make your own!
