Converted Synagogue Penthouse in the East Village

The New York Times 4.2.09

Dominique Camacho and Gary Hirschkron transformed a developer's renovation of a former synagogue into an airy, modern triplex with the help of Manifold Architecture Studio of Brooklyn. Ms. Camacho is the owner of Sustainable NYC, an eco-friendly store on Avenue A, and green building materials like non-toxic MDF and low VOC paints were used in the renovation.
