Not everyone has a spare room to set aside dedicated to a favorite indoor pastime, but convertible furnishings can offer 2-for-1 features which can transform desks or dining tables into favorite gaming surfaces for billiards, table tennis, or a game of cards, even in modest sized spaces...

Bola Service Table
It's a gorgeous dining table. Wait no, it's a ping pong table. Could it be both? With a removable net and hidden storage drawer, it's finally okay to play at the table. The two-tone slanted legs and minimalist white top are truly gorgeous in design.

Fusion Tables
Available in brushed stainless steel or powdered coat in grey, white, and black, the Fusion Table is a high style pool hall/dining room table equipped with an Easy Lift system, which allows adjustments to the table's height. The table's clean lines and outside-the-box engineering hide or altogether do away with pending pockets and ball recuperators, giving these tables the appearance of fine furnishings rather than pool hall equipment.

Billards Bréton Aero
The strong curved metal frame and solid Kotibe or oak give the Billards Bréton Aero a contemporary flair. An additional top cover can quickly hideaway the billiards feature and set up a long table for dining and entertaining as shown here.

MBM Biliardi Casa
Fancy a game of roulette in the dining room right after dinner? MBM Biliardi brings the casino to the home with their convertible Casa model. The Italian manufacturer has tons of other convertible game tables listed on their website, but unfortunately not much more info, so you may want to contact them directly for domestic dealers.

DIY Ping Pong Table
Recognizing the gaming convertible tables up above are all quite expensive, here's an affordable DIY option. Amy Huntley of The Idea Room converted an outdoor dining table into a compact ping pong table for her kids, simply painting one side of a 4' x 8' sheet of MDF with a ping pong court top, and the flip side painted with chalkboard paint. When the family wants to play a game or two, they place the removable top onto their dining table; when not in use, the table top leans against the wall with the chalkboard available for the whole family to use. Brilliant!
