Converting the Master Into a Shared Kids' Bedroom

Converting the Master Into a Shared Kids' Bedroom

Many of you liked the idea of converting the dining room into a playroom. What do you think about converting the master bedroom into a shared kids' room? It's a little different, I know, but consider it.

Our master bedroom is by far the largest bedroom in the house. The kids currently have their own rooms but we'd like to have them share a bedroom soon and the thought occurred to me last night that we should let them have the master. The large room would be great for two beds, a library corner, and a lot of open floor space. Adjacent to the master is an adjoining second room separated by pocket doors and currently used as a nursery. That room could become a playroom.

We haven't made a final decision yet but the idea is up for consideration. I'd love to hear from readers their thoughts on this idea.

Note: Our real estate agent doesn't think it's a good idea from a selling standpoint, but we're not concerned about that right now.
