Now that we think about it, it was a bit tricky to transfer our wet newborn from the tub to a towel in our tiny bathroom. But would we buy a product dedicated to helping out with just this task? Hmmmm...we're not sure. The Coocoose is essentially a terry cloth apron worn by the parent to make "drying your child a safer, more comforting experience for you both." Good idea? Weigh in below.

White Enamel Flatwa...
Not for 30 bucks, but I do like the idea.
We have used one since my son was a tiny baby and it is still very handy. We would really recommend it... granted 30 bucks is expensive, I think we got ours at a baby show as a special... Anyway thumbs up for the towel
DEFINITELY. We sell a different brand, babywrappers, at our store. And so, when I had my 2nd child I HAD to get one.
It is my #1 recommend and one the very few 'investments' I made for Baby #2.
I personally love it, as when I am bathing my baby in the sink, my belly doesn't get all wet.
Also, now that both my kids are in the bathtub, I don't have to fuss with the towel. Seriously, speaking from someone who PURCHASED a similar item, purchases them as a gift and sells a similar product in a store, one of THEE best items.
As far a giving as a gift, I've seen way sillier items for way more LOL
I like the idea a lot. I'm forever trying to hold on to the towel with my chin whilst fishing an uncooperative "But I'm not done yet" toddler out of the tub without getting wet. It's almost a special occasion when no corner of the towel gets wet. :)
That said, I think I'll just DIY it for the next baby.
I think it's a great idea for a baby shower gift. I just use regular towels, but have thought this would help when pulling a squirmy, wet little one out of the tub.
I love the idea!!! But I have a sewing machine and a pile of old towels, so I think I'll DIY.
mommy bib.
why do people need to spend so much money on useless baby products...myself included. Money wasted on things like this could be put towards a savings for a family vacation or classes for baby.
I agree with tullymama. Couldnt you just make one of these with a towel you already own, and some scrap fabric for the neck piece?
We have a similar one given to us as a gift - not so fancy, just basically a regular shaped towel with a neck strap (no "wings" like the one featured).
Easily DYI by sewing some ribbons on one end of a regular bath sheet.
I love it for keeping myself dry while bathing baby, and making it just a bit easier to pick her up and get her dried off (again, while keeping my own clothes dry).
It seems a little extreme to me...people are always going on about how slippery babies are...I guess I just don't think it's that hard to hold a wet kid.
As the mother of a 2 weeks old baby, I'd say it's useless. How many are you going to buy ? Considering how quickly towels are thrown in the washing machine, I'd have to buy at least 3. No way.
I stick to ordinary towels.
dumb. dumb. dumb. These are the type of products that convince people it takes a six-figure income to afford a baby and an addition to the house to store all the baby crap. I admit, I'm a bit of a minimalist when it comes to baby "gear" and "accessories". Most of this stuff is a waste of space and money. When I had my first baby my mom told me all you really need to be prepared for a baby is some onesies, diapers, a carseat and a breast. Advertisements scare us with suggestions of all sorts of other stuff we "need". Uh, it's a glorified towel.
