Freshly baked cookies during the holidays are the best gifts ever. You want all your hard work to shine and for your goodies to look and feel special. However patience, talent, and time are often in short supply. Here are three of the easiest ways to package up your homemade treats!
Pick a theme (like plaid!), buy some materials, and have yourself a good 'ol time packaging up your cookies. The three packaging "recipes" from the video are below. Click each link to see where we picked up our supplies:
Option #1: Parchment
Wrap the cookies lengthwise in parchment paper and roll into a tube shape. Tape the roll shut. Gently twist the end shut. Cover the white roll with a band of decorative paper (or layer on two!) and tape securely to the role. Add a sticker label and finish off with a ribbon on each end.
Option #2: Glass Jar
Put the cookies in the jar and close the lid. Cut a circle of decorative paper that's a couple of inches wider than the jar, then cover the lid. Secure with bakers twine. Create a "medal" with two pieces of washi tape and the wooden disk, then stick it to the jar with either a glue gun or really sticky double-sided tape. Finish off with a sticker label.
Option #3: Shipping Tube
Cut a piece of decorative paper so it wraps around the entire tube. Secure with tape. Make a bow from ribbon and tape it to the lid of the tube. Finish off with a sticker label.
