It seems like the very best designs always come about as a solution to a problem. And that's how this Adirondack chair came into existence. Designer Shelton Davis saw a problem and now he's trying to fix it.
Davis noticed that there weren't enough benches at his local bus stops (people had started turning over shopping carts to sit on) and so he came up with the idea of building an easily replicable chair from abandoned shipping pallets.
His idea now is to develop a kit for the chair along with easy-to-follow instructions and then use the profits to develop a program that will provide more seating at bus stops in his neighborhood.
