Here's my design catch of the week, a Leitch ADC-5112L Clock, found at Sirius Radio this past Monday. This was one hard item to track down!
I was there taping a segment of Martha Stewart's Whole Living show and fell in love with the totally functional, spartan design that is beautifully illuminated for the dark studio environment...
After a bunch of research, I found that these broadcast clocks are typically called "slave" clocks and are driven by a central "master" timer, but they'll work perfectly fine on their own. They are definitely overkill (and about $700 new), but if you are a clock nut, this is for you:
>> Leitch Clock Fact Sheet (they are owned by Harris Broadcast)
>> Leitch ADC-5112L for sale at BCS.tv
>> Leitch ADC-5112L at InfoComm
>> Leitch ADC-5112L at Video Link
>> Leitch ADC-5112 non illuminated at Pro Gear for $350

While I was on my search however, I also found a few other interesting commercial clock links to pass on:
>> Franklin Commercial Clocks
>> Masterclock Illuminated Commercial Clocks

Oh my god no. I never want that Leitch clock in my house.
Sorry... I work in broadcast and I see this everyday, all day. I wouldn't want to see the same thing when I get home.
