When we talk about cool rooms, we don't just mean that they are awesome or air conditioned. Greens, blues, and purples are popular picks throughout our House Tours, as they have inherent calming properties. Some fearless homeowners eschew calm and choose the bright versions — turquoise and lime still have a place on this end of the spectrum, and in the upcoming Room For Color contest.

Nomade Express Slee...
#4 is exactly the color I painted my bedroom in 1964 when Mom let me pick out the color @ Sherwin Williams!
So all of these would be in the "cool" catagory for Room For Color? I'm entering my craft room and was wondering whether to put it in as "cool" or "dark," what is the cutoff for "dark?"
@jess13 - there's room for interpretation. There's no hard and fast line between the categories, just go with whichever you feel best represents it! If you click on my name above at the bottom of the post (or search room for color), you can see other examples of cool, dark, light, and warm rooms posted over the last week or so. Good luck!
I need to figure out why I hated all but two of the warm colors rooms and here, like all but two of the cool colors rooms. I know it's not solely the paint colors!
