Although I registered for a new set of towels when I got married a few years back, there are still some stragglers in my linen closet left over from the college years. Instead of having two different awkward sets, they could easily be displayed together with the help of a little ribbon.

Even though some towels might not clash with each other, a little bit of print or pattern in the form of ribbon can go a long way to making everything feel thought out and put together.

It's the same idea as having one wild print pillow on your sofa and then pulling the colors from it for coordinating accent pillows or accessories. You'll be amazed at the colors you didn't think could be paired up when there's a bit of print involved. It's a great way to make towels last longer or incorporate thrifted or hand-me-down finds.
