- Inspiration for my palette:
- The warm hues of India, Morocco and Tuscany. I wanted the sunshine that streams into the apartment really shine and light the place up. With our wall colour it really works and you feel instantly transported southwards. Even in winter.
- Colors used in my room
- Mustard, gold, beige, brown, pink and orangey accents
- Tips for using color successfully
- Think about the ambiance and atmosphere you want to create with the help of your wall colour. Make a moodboard to find out which colours complement each other well to get a harmonious result. Don´t be afraid to use the colour you are dreaming of!

Love the dinning area!
Favorited! Love the wall-to-wall bookcases and the artwork.
Cornelia - what's the painting that's hanging above your sofa?
Very nice. The only thing I'd do is switch the one photo to the area above the desk and vice versa.
I like the way you balance the huge wall of books (I'm always looking at how people do books because we have so many) with the open spaces in the rest of the room, especially the beautiful windows in your dining area. The window coverings seem like the perfect match - casual, like gossamer?
Lovely, lovely room!
You have great taste. Sophisticated. I love the wooden chair opposite your couch and the window coverings are dreamy.
Thank you so muich for all your supportive comments! I appreciate them so much!
@ellenchristine: This is a print of "Burmese pearl" by Sir Gerald Kelly
@Lyonstill: Thanks for the tip. Maybe I will switch one day. I think choosing and hanging art is the most difficult process : )
LOVE!! Your jewel-toned palatte is not over the top and looks refined, chic and comfortable.
I love your arrangement of small pictures above your desk. I do the same.
I love that wall color! My entry was this butterscotch color until I did a mini remodel and painted everything. I'd much rather have my butterscotch back than the current color which I find dreary.
Thank you! I really love the wall colour because it makes the room warm and comfortable. I really could not change it at the moment : )
I bet the room is even more beautiful at night. I had a similar color in my living room and it just glowed at night.
