The traditional red Swedish cottage may be one of the most familiar instances of vibrant color and the home. Set against a snowy backdrop, the red cabin in the woods touches on something inside of all of us, Swede or not. The Villa Lindman is a new take on that traditionally colorful archetype:
Designed by pS Arkitektur, Villa Lindman has that familiar red clapboard siding on its exterior. The form of the home, however, takes on a much more modern feel than the traditional cabin.
Step inside for another color jolt - this time in blue. We love the vibrant blue living space against the rather muted whites and natural materials of the rest of the interior. See more of this cozy and colorful home at pS Arkitektur.

the swedish are great, they can class up anything, even a double wide trailer.
Intellectual Swedes go in for the raw, unfinished look quite a lot (not a surprise from the country that invented Brutalism and PoMo). This little house reminds me of the modern cottages built in the 30's and 40's, but without the level of finishes in year round homes at that time.
Love the blue!
