While I don't celebrate the start of hunting season by donning any sort of bright orange outerwear, I do feel a certain craving for rustic cabin living once the Fall chill hits the air.
These five spaces make me want to ditch all the back-to-school business and hole up in the stylish wilds for a few weeks.

Nice! I just rewatched all of Twin Peaks and, while some of the decor was definitely dated, there were a few visual moments in the Great Northern hotel that I appreciated. Lots of roughly-hewn wood furniture and picture frames and, of course, log cabin walls!
LOVE the first one.... that would be a dream to have :)
those antlers aren't very restful
Nice horizontal logs on the wall, very pretty in those settings. Do love the kitchen! Do dislike the antlers over the bed. I don't mind antlers at all, usually, just not...there. That photo over the bed in 4 always creeps me out, it looks like a reflection in a mirror. I could think of a 1,000,000 other things to put there, but then again I don't live there.
You're right, though. That cold snap in the air, apple ready, cider flowing. Yep, time for hearth and woodsy home.
I don't know that I fully appreciate so many different and competing wood grains in #3. Looks a little too busy for my untrained eye.
Here are a few modern cabins

I see this and all I can think of is how many spiders are in that woodstack... remember that scene in Indiana Jones 2 where the screamy chick has to reach her hand in the hole in the wall to pull the lever and the hole is full of bugs? Yeah, that's what it's like to pull logs offa a stack that's been sitting around for a while... eek!
@DrMcfacekick I agree.
