Jill of Homemade by Jill has done it again.
She gives very thorough instructions on her tutorial and we're pretty sure even a novice seamstress (like ourselves) could complete this project fairly easily.

Oh, this is so cute, and a great idea! And I could imagine other versions, too, like a little farm or safari for Schleich animals, or something like that--whatever your kid is into.
This is great, but can I have a tutorial for one that holds 30 cars? My son is 2 and he would already have a hard time choosing just six. :)
This is awesome! I'm going to get started right away on this project. We need lots of fun things like this for the summer treks!
WOW -- this is such an amazing idea!!
I made one of these for my son for Christmas after finding it on Jill's blog. I LOVED the way it came out. So adorable, and her tutorial was so easy to follow.
Hyzen - GREAT idea for the farm/safari for the Schleich animals!
Glad to see this here. I am quite the novice at sewing but managed to make two as gifts (after making mistakes on my first attempt).
Oh goodness. I've had a vision in my mind for a few weeks now of something just like this, but being rather clueless in the crafty department I wasn't sure how to go about it properly! Thanks!
Oh. My. Goodness. My son isn't into matchbox cars just yet, but he has a cousin who is. I HAVE to make him one of these. Have to. I have no time, but whatever! This is awesome. Thanks for posting it!
This is terrific! I absolutely love this idea - for both my son and daughter. Both spend hours playing with their cars and trains so I could see making one for each and keeping them busy while waiting for doctor's appointment's, in the car, etc. I'm going to go have a look at the tutorial now ...
