As an early adopter iPad user, one of the first things we noted after using it for just a few hours was how surprisingly heavy the Apple tablet is in hand. We use it everywhere now (it's a jury duty saviour), thanks to an excellent carrying case. But some people might still prefer to use it on a flat surface, especially on the couch or in bed.
