Craft beer bottle labels and their graphics can be as creative and diverse as the brews themselves and in my case, having a boyfriend who can describe a good craft beer like a bottle of fine wine, the bottles are easy to come by. This smart tutorial by Stylelist is a great way to repurpose the empties. All it takes are a few basic tools, a little time and safety goggles.
By using a wine bottle cutter for scoring and a process using warm then cold water you can stress the glass into breaking off in a clean smooth line and convert your bottles into tumblers. Read the tutorial on Stylelist, which includes a linked video I would also recommend watching first.

Shaw's Original Fir...
This is awesome! I'm definitely going to do this!
Practice on some bottles that might otherwise end up in the recycling first! As you can see in the image, it's pretty tough to get very straight break lines (you can see jagged edges especially on the La Chouffe bottle).
I agree with the above comment. These are poorly executed and If someone handed me one of those above to drink out of, I'd ask for a straw.
Lips of Faith indeed.
Ditto the comments above. Those edges need polishing in a bad way.
Ditto the above comments about the jagged and unsafe edges.
One of my friends used to do this with wine bottles to sell at local craft fairs. She said a regular yield for someone that had a lot of practice was only 25%.
These also need a sealant so that the labels don't disintegrate in the wash. Clear plastic spray (on the outside only) should do it.
For the Belgian brew fans, try Duchesse de Bourgogne. Love love love this slightly sour ale. I'd drink it a lot more often if I could get the 11.2oz bottles.
Like this a lot! Maybe now my trash guys will stop leaving me AA pamphlets now :)
Jesus, people. Let's call 'em "votive holders" and y'all can relax.
I'd be worried about the chemicals in the ink. Not meant to be ingested (or hosed onto your other dishes and silverware by your dishwasher).
If you want to do this right just use a tile saw. nice clean cuts with no chipping, and then come back and round off the edges with and emery cloth or small grinding wheel. If your going to do it do it right not half ass!
Oh, Tinyhands, Duchesse de Bourgogne is my favorite, favorite, favorite beer! So yummy! But the Stone IPA in this picture is also quite delicious.
Oh hell no! These represent one of the top ten "design allergies" that many people suffer.

No alcohol related items to be used as home decor. Unless you're still in college and serving your drinks on furniture made from plastic milk crates!
La Chouffe! My favorite!
I second the "votive holder" idea. Would be interesting with some tea lights in them
