Crafty DIY Blogs: Singapore Blog Roll

This month we're getting a little crafty here at Apartment Therapy. Aside from the fabulous DIY ideas on our site we love finding inspiration from other blogs and websites (there are so many creative people out there!). I love discovering local crafters as they can be a great resource for finding supplies and we can help support each other via local craft exhibitions and bizarres.

In Singapore there is a growing number of craft supply stores, hardware shops and fabric resources. It's not the same scale as, say, Michael's, and stores tend to be city-sized (i.e. tiny). So it's really great to find local bloggers that speak the same DIY language and can have a good dialogue about where to purchase materials and how to support each other. Of course there is a growing Etsy community here and local exhibitions love showcasing local crafters (like the MAAD event on February 10).

The list below is by no means complete but it's a brief collection of some of my favorite blogs to peruse for creative inspiration in all areas: home design, fashion, photography and other fine arts. Please let us know what your favorite craft/DIY blogs are here in Singapore!

Notabilia: A self-described crafty New Yorker living in Singapore. She blogs about all things creative in Singapore and teaches classes on bookmaking.

Claudia Created: "every week, I make something" is a good descriptive of this blog. Claudia has good advice about where to buy supplies and also writes tutorials.

Midnight Crafts: This blog focuses on Yvette's sewing crafts. She lists a great source of shops and stores as well as DIY tutorials.

The Analog Dork: a well-curated blog for those in love with lomography and photography.
