We could all use a little extra storage in the office, especially if you're using pencils and pens on a regular basis (I know, so ancient, right?). Well, we came across this easy and fun DIY for some additional desktop storage.
Using a set of discontinued CD holders from IKEA, Clara from The Home in Paradise created this awesome desktop storage. She had the boxes in storage for so long, because she wasn't using them for CD storage, the tape she used to hold them together had left marks, so it was obvious that she needed to paint them.
It's so interesting when reading about DIY projects like this — it's as though those boxes were meant to be transformed into this desktop hutch. She went to her local dollar store and purchased four plastic baskets that fit perfectly. She uses the baskets to hold a variety of items, including her computer mouse and even cards for her camera.
And just because those IKEA CD holders are discontinued doesn't mean you can't find similar ones at any local store.
