Decorating for the upcoming holiday seasons — although fun — can seem a little taxing since nothing outside of a pumpkin or bale of hay has a chance at transcending into more than one season. But wait! I spotted this simple idea that turns any charger into multi-seasonal decor.

The charger plate above pulls double and triple duty for not only Halloween but Thanksgiving and Christmas as well. Each one was primed and painted with a chalkboard spray paint. Next, chalk pens or markers were used to decorate the outside of each plate.

Since we know how to make our own chalkboard paint, you wouldn't be limited to strictly black. Look for off-season chargers on the cheap (pick up Halloween ones the day after for 50% off and so forth) and then use them all year round.

We can see them working out well in plain white, though it might take two coats to over any current design or dark color. Try using store bought stencils if you don't think you're creative enough to decorate them and maybe add a little detail to some coordinating cloth napkins while you're at it!
