If "go to graphic design school" hasn't been checked off your list yet, but you enjoy playing with fonts and color, Wordle is a really fun online tool for creating "word clouds" that you can print and frame or use for wrapping paper or stationery.
We have to give credit to Vintage Chica where we first heard about Wordle. She planned on using it to create Valentine's gifts for her husband and sons which is a terrifically sweet, personal, and, not to mention, inexpensive gift idea.
With Wordle, you plug in words (adjectives to describe your child for example) - the more times you enter the same word the bigger it is in your word cloud - and then you can play with colors, fonts and orientation (any which way, mostly horizontal, etc.) to form your own word cloud art.
Here's the link to Wordle - have fun!

White Enamel Flatwa...
I was so excited when I saw this, thought i could create a really cool alphabet poster, but can't get the letters to get in true alphabetical order. Still fun to play around with, though. Am making some sweet word clouds about my kids to hang in their rooms!
This is funny- I just used wordle to make a tag cloud for my daughter. I had friends and relatives write us words they use to describe my little girl. I pumped them into wordle and had it professionally printed. 7 bucks for the print and 5 for the frame.

This is awesome. I'd like to use this for invitations to my son's third birthday party. Can anyone help me with how to actually do this?
Love it, my friends just used this to make a birth announcement for their new baby boy! Such a cool, and cheap idea!
