Remodel Your Home Office Thanks to Craigslist

If you're a budget conscientious person, you've probably scoured different places for deals. Craigslist, eBay, and online stores are usually great places to find deals that you normally wouldn't have access to. We've also found that online forums usually have a marketplace where you can buy stuff. If you're considering remodeling your home office and you think that you don't have the money to do so, you should definitely check those out.

Take Stoicjim as an example. He had a messy, cluttered home office and didn't overhaul it because of the costs involved. It also implied buying a lot of new stuff. However, he came up with an interesting idea: he got most of the components of his new office from Craigslist.

Craigslist is a great resource. You can find good deals there. There are even people who give stuff away. He was using an 8-foot table that he had built himself from 2×4's and melamine. The whole setup was painted gray and served as his main desk for many years.

He found a table and an armoire on Craigslist for $125. Both were painted black. The other item was a bookcase that came from IKEA. He also refinished his table top. All in all, this home office redecoration cost Stoicjim under $200. The bookcase could have also been found on Craigslist.

Check out the rest of his photos of his home office over at his Flickr set.
