We love our iPad, but sadly our current case is falling apart and it's time to look at other cases. We also have quite a few people on our list this holiday season that are iPad owners, so the timing could not be better to spot this neat cork DIY iPad sleeve. Looks like it's time to break out the cork, fabric, and scissors!
Wanting a minimalist and unique way to protect his iPad, Instructables user Bobber created this cork sleeve which slips easily into a bag and is coveted by his friends and colleagues.
The project requires very basic sewing skills and a few supplies including, rolled cork, cotton fabric for backing the cork, fleece, and fusible web. The project is simple and begins with printing the included PDF template and using it to trace onto the cork.
We think this makes an attractive iPad sleeve that is indeed unique and is a great gift idea for our iPad toting friends this holiday season.
