The idea of ironing your wall sounds like something you'd do while half intoxicated or … well … yeah, that's the only reason we can think why one would iron their wall. That is until we came across a great tutorial for making iron on decals (perfect for renters!) that could be big or small — and in this case, they're picture frames!
Over at How About Orange, there's some crazy crafting going on. Jessica has taken the plunge and tested out an old trick that's making a come back.
Using fabric that had first been coated with stiffener, she was able to cut out frame shapes and iron it to the wall. That's right — iron it to the wall. Like with a hot iron on the wall. The idea just sounds so silly, but its effects are outstanding as the stiffener attaches to the wall and is then able to be peeled off and removed when you're ready for them to come down — without residue!
How cool is that? It's a great way to decorate with temporary intentions and without any commitment to nail holes or patching to be done later on. Check out details on the full project over at How About Orange!

Shaw's Original Fir...
I never would have guessed that was fabric. Cool. This is not the ReNest page but it is green. Thank you guys for focusing on reusing materials, and I think it is a cutting edge idea anyway.
I have wallpapered using fabric and liquid starch before. Not sure about the product mentioned in the link but do a test first. I've found that some fabric colors can bleed through. As a renter this could mean you're stuck paying for a repaint.
Could you do this with paper?
Thank you, as a landlord i panicked and had to click to see - no residue left, AWESOME!
