With the holiday season right around the corner, our minds have already begun thinking about ways to make our parties more festive through tech. Fun mood lighting can really add to the atmosphere, so when we spotted this project on Instructables we knew it was time to break out the LEDs and resistors!
Wanting something that would give the room a nice glow and provide something to "zone out on", Instructables user Selig Tobiason has created this RGB LED wall lamp.
This DIY project requires several components which include items you can find at your neighborhood craft store, like poster board, and ones that you will need to source at an electronics shop, like 5mm RGB LEDs and 150 ohm resistors. Some of the tools that are required include wire cutters, soldering iron, and a hot glue gun.
We think this lighting would be a bit much for everyday, but would work well for the right situation. We love this concept and think it would be a fun way to enhance the lighting at a party.
