Creating A Big Girl's Room That Will Endure

Creating A Big Girl's Room That Will Endure

By the time your little one is ready for a big girl room, you've likely redone the room once or twice already. In order to keep costs down, think longetivity and go for furniture pieces and style that will endure. We saw this big girl's bedroom over at Design Sponge and really fell in love with it.

The soft canopy is perfect for a young girl and the high shelf can hold a treasured collection that is no longer played with day to day. But we can easily see this room transitioning with a growing girl over the years. A pre-teen might want to lose the canopy and add some posters. A teenager might want to add some more touches of black. But the basic elements in the room - the bed, bedding, rug and light fixture - could all stay the same. If you're interested in seeing the rest of this airy NYC townhouse, check out Design Sponge.
