Creating Interest With Paint

If you're like me, when you choose to paint, the default is to paint the entire wall. In a room without moldings or other architectural features, choose to create some visual interest with paint.

Consider painting two-thirds of the way up the wall instead of all the way up. This works especially well if you want to give the illusion of heightened ceilings in a room. For a similar effect, check out this painted scallop border we blogged previously. This little grey and white room is fantastic, isn't it? It's actually a shared room. If you want to see some beautiful photos of the rest of this room, check out AnnilyGreen.
