Lately I've been finding myself in the craft doldrums; the spirit is willing, but the inspiration is weak. If you're feeling the same slump, here are some colorful, functional craft rooms to spark your creativity. And even if your creative spark is at an all-time high, who can resist some lovely spaces to keep those cogs turning?
In each of these rooms, originality meets function, and organization makes creative tasks more efficient.
• Debee of Inspire Lovely has created a bright, inviting studio, full of interesting nooks, inspired ideas, and creative organization methods. (I love the mismatched drawer knobs!)
• Handmade Jane has set up a clean, neat space with clearly designated areas for her sewing items.
• Heather Bailey's space provides easy access to materials and a walkaround crafting table, making it possible to work on projects from multiple angles.
• Christi from Hiya Papaya (via House of Turquoise) has energized her craft room with bright colors and graphic wallpaper, making it an inspiring place to work.
• Randi's wall-to-wall fabric storage is enough to make any crafter swoon, and her cheerful bunting keeps the mood light.
• Amanda of the Ivy Cottage Blog transformed her garage into a highly functional craft room, complete with a gigantic work table and ample storage space.
• Desirée's craft room is a light, bright, adorable space with multiple work surfaces and well-placed pops of color.
• Jenn from Clean and Scentsible majorly transformed this storage space, keeping the new design graphic and clean.
• Shauna and Stephen's craft room (as shown off in their AT house tour) is a color-coder and organizer's dream.
• The Tofu Studio makes the most of large surfaces, bright colors, and glass-fronted storage (which keeps pesky dust off craft materials).
• By using custom cabinetry and colorful storage boxes, Toby Fairley has created a vibrant craft space that is the epitome of neatness and cleanliness.

Oh how I would love any of these spaces!
Jessica@fourgenerationsoneroof=I shall stand in line behind you. Lovely!
holy cow, i'm in that line too.
Wow! I love them!

Really gorgeous and colorful rooms that inspire creativity! But can we be real? How many people actually keep their craft areas neat like that? Or am I the only slob who leaves my stuff all spread out, thinking, "It will be easier to get started tomorrow if I leave everything I need out today"?

I want a craft room! I am not even particularly crafty, but I am sure if I had a room like one of these I would be crafty all the time!!!
I saved a ton of Crystal Light containers and used them for storage in my studio.

I wish I had the space to have that kind of room in my condo for my jewelry making !!!
Wow! I'm going through a re-do of my craft room right now and I was SO excited to see this inspiration this morning! Right now I'm struggling with how to store supplies. Do I display or hide? In photos, I see things like rainbow-colored buttons displayed in tiny glass jars or spools of neatly wrapped ribbon. My supplies aren't always that pretty...

I'm so depressed! You should SEE my dining room table right now! It's literally about a foot deep in stuff, since I am working on a February "Thing a Day" challenge in polymer clay, and can't put everything away between sessions. (Even though I am actually catching up for my "daily" projects on the weekends when I have time.)
Color me green with envy!
Does anyone know where this wallpaper is from??
*Correction: the wallpaper in photo 3
@KGoodrich: I'm not sure, but it looks like a painted stencil to me. You could probably email Linda from Craftaholics Anonymous though and double check.
@KGoodrich The wall is stenciled.
an organizer's dream? more like a "hell why didn't i give my overlock thread cones a dust cover" nightmare. but pretty!
@happy heathen ... I use my mother-in-law's Crystal Light containers for office supplies. They are awesome, aren't they?
@Kgoodrich - do you mean the black and white wallpaper? If so, that is my craft room. We got our paper at Four Chairs Furniture. http://www.4-chairs.com. It's Thibaut Brand Wallpaper. I LOVE my craft room/office. I'm sitting in it right now as I type this! You can see more images of it here: http://www.hiyapapaya.com :)
