We aren't ones with an over-abundance of hanging storage in the closet. But - if you're a rocker with a small wardrobe - this special hanger might just be your perfect small space storage solution:
It combines a hanger for a typical closet hanging rod with a harness for the neck of the guitar that supports it and allows it to hang in a row with clothing or with a collection of instruments.
The Guitar Hanger sells for about $25 and is available at retailers or through the product's website.

Where was this before I moved? I could've really used this in my last place.
Rockin! 420 sq ft=4 guitars. Need solution. Good idea!
Great idea, I'd love to hang them on the wall but we're trying to avoid drilling holes in the walls (renting).
that's awesome!
Does the hanging hook swivel? If so, it could probably be hung over doors or other objects, too... Or on a coat hook mounted to the wall...
I dunno if I would go for this. I can see my instruments getting scratched up and banged around pretty easily with something like this. I know a lot of musicians get nervous about letting other people play their guitars if there are belt buckles or zippers (or anything that might scratch) involved, and aside from everything being packed into a closet, it looks like there might be a "swing" factor with this hanger.
For space-saving storage AND instrument safety, I HIGHLY recommend the Hercules guitar hanger:

It locks your guitar into place, keeps it just far away enough from the wal without being obtrusive in the rooml, and can go onto any empty wall space you've got. I've got 3 guitars and 2 basses in my apartment, and I don't know what I'd do without these little guys. It would be a danger zone around here.
Pardon the typos; I just acquired a netbook and the keyboard is TINY.
Someone should make a lower-cost version for Rock Band instruments.
