Elizabeth Seward's Stenciled Chairs

There comes a day in every homeowner's or apartment dweller's life where you need a change. It's not that your home isn't beautiful or functional or well-organized. It's just that...well...you've changed. At Re-nest we believe as your home is, so is your life, so often the desire for exterior change belies the interior changes that are taking place. But we hate throwing stuff out. Not only is it economically unfeasible but we don't like waste of any kind. Perhaps it's our inner French thriftiness, but we always try to reuse, rethink, and recycle before we toss...

As Stephanie blogged earlier today, Jennae over at Green Your Decor put a creative spin on the bamboo blinds she used for her mother's patio, creating a striking focal point. You can do the same on all sorts of objects from the expected (blinds and curtains) to the unexpected (check out this post for instructions on customizing your own sheets!) You can even customize vinyl or leather furniture as Elizabeth Seward did over at Planet Green There are paints of every type available, from fabric paints to wall paints, to aid you in your project.
