Although they could be tossed in the recycling bin, glass wine and beverage bottles seem too pretty (and useful and sturdy) not to repurpose. After spotting this garden border made of wine bottles in ReadyMade, we searched for some more examples and quite like the effect, especially when done with bottles of complementary colors and heights. What do you think?
• 1 Featured in ReadyMade, this outdoor shower and garden border was made by Annie and Alexis Thomas using 489 wine bottles collected from friends, restaurants, and wine stores. Check out the Solar Shower article for instructions and tips.
• 2 Bottles may be laid out in all sorts of configurations. Flickr member narcolanza photographed this circular garden border in Baton Rouge.

Commercial Flour Sa...
If my neighbourhood these would be quickly snatched up by people looking for bottles for money.
It's too bad because I just love the look of it. Especially the blue bottles!
i think it's pretty but i can't help but think of them breaking if the lawn mower shot a rock at them or kids running by... eep!
If your lawnmower is shooting rocks, wine bottles are the least of your concern. :)
Did pathways in my backyard, loved them, I tried to go for the colored wine bottles but they seemed to break easier (I used a rubber mallet to tap them into the ground) the beer bottles held up great though, only had one break while putting it in. Out of hundreds.
recently replaced them when a friend gave us a ton edging blocks, then the bottles went to their recycling bin!

I think it looks cool...That yard looks pretty well groomed, if there was a rock in the way of the mower, it can easily be seen, besides if a bottle breaks it will be replaced I am sure..
LOVE the blue ones!
I am sooo gonna try this. Cool!
