Creative Solutions: A Hidden Bathtub

Marie Claire Maison

What to do when you love your tiny bathroom, but it can't accommodate the bathtub you desperately want? For one owner, the solution was to conceal the tub below the floor.

The owner wanted to stay true to the austere lines of the space, located in a renovated convent in Tuscany. But she also wanted the luxury of soaking in the tub. The compromise was to embed a bathtub in the floor and cover it with slatted wood flooring.

What do you think of this solution? Clever? Kooky? A bit creepy?
