A crib is one of the the few items in the home that is truly temporary by nature but many people have a hard time letting go of it for sentimental reasons or because they might have a use for it again in the future. That was the case for the mother of two who pens the blog "A Little Learning for Two." With a little creativity she turned a crib into an adorable work station for her kids. Here is how she did it.
What you need:
• A crib with a removable drop side
• Particle board cut to mattress size
• Chalkboard paint (Here is how to make your own)
First remove the drop side panel of the crib and adjust the base to the highest setting. Then, paint the particle board with chalkboard paint on one side. Next, place the particle board chalkboard side up into the mattress base.
Hooks can be added to hang containers or a wipe board.
The best part is: the crib is not rendered unusable. Simply work backwards to reassemble and it can be once again used as a crib.
