Check out the new Cricket Trailer — an environmentally conscious camping trailer by Garret Finney. Finney is an architect and designer who has worked for NASA on "habitation modules" and the Cricket aims to make the most out of a small family camper.
The Cricket is largely made of aluminum, wood and steel all of which can be recycled, upcycled or reused.

Shaw's Original Fir...
Nice! I'd love to have one.
I'd bet there would be even more interest in the tiny tear-drop trailers - those aluminum clad, wood interiors, designed for little more than sleeping and holding one's cook stove (for example http://www.tinycamper.com/).
How is this more "environmentally concious" than a standard trailer made of aluminum, wood, and steel? Not being snarky, I'm genuinely curious.
gordon - most new trailers are primarily fiberglass and plastics
okay I love this. Does anyone know what price these start at?

I prefer the aesthetic of the teardrop over the cricket. But this is a neat concept, similar to a pop-up-camper, or those camper tops you used to be able to get for a VW van.

My personal idea of Hell.
I feel the toilet-under-the-kitchen-thing a little Too Much for sensitive me.
Which is a pity...
Aside from ther supposed benefits to the environment, this thing looks awful. I always love to look at new trailer designs, but well
I'll stick with my T@B.
I saw the trailer at the Outdoor retailer show in Salt Lake City. Really cool.
