actually, I am planning to do this for a pouf in my bathroom! I had seen the CB2 knitted poufs, but can't knit, so The Plan is to thrift a bunch of gray tees, cut into strips and crochet a (hopefully) durable and kid-friendly pouf. fingers crossed...
There's some super-sized wool out there these days along with super-sized knitting or crochet hooks - you'll have these finished in a breeze! The "wool" is made from old t-shirt cut offs. I made a huge round rug/blankie out of it for the dog in 3 evenings - my first crochet adventure. Added benefit: it kept me out of the fridge and cookie jar :)
