Taalman Koch Architects recently completed work on their glass iT House, a lovely, minimal home that aims for simplicity, elegance, sustainable design and green principals in a new living site called Three Junipers, located in the desert near Joshua Tree National Park.

Taalman and Koch are Los Angeles–based design partners who have been creating minimal designs for years. Their iT house has made the rounds of various blogs include Inhabitat. It is also featured in this November's issue of Dwell, which describes the launch of the iThouse in the Three Junipers home site near Joshua Tree National Park, in southern California.

Starting at $175 per sq-ft, the price appears minimal, however homes at the Three Junipers site start in the $750,000's (somewhat reasonable in southern California). The design and impact on the environment however remain low - and the concepts are something to take note of.

"The iT house is for those who want high design and modernized living out of a prefabricated home."

The Dwell article is an excellent read on their concept and project.
