Maybe this is a bit excessive, but if you've ever forgotten about a cup of tea you will find this program a lifesaver.
Cuppa is a free, tiny MacOSX program that you run just after you make that cup of tea. It runs in the dock, counting down the seconds until your tea is ready. And when it is, a window pops up and a noise sounds to alert you that your tea is ready for consumption. It comes with a few preset brewing times, and you can customize it as well, for your favorite brew.
So, bid farewell to the days of frustration and cold, bitter tea. That is, if you remember to start up Cuppa.

My mother needs this. Every time I go to her house I find a cold cup of coffee in the microwave.
I dream of a life where I can actually go brew a cuppa and then sit back down and continue to work in my home office, and this would provide the perfect treat in that environment.
brilliant! i totally need this.
I could use that at work. I always wind up forgetting about the cup of tea at my desk. I'll still drink it though even if it's strong and bitter.
That should be a pre-installed app on every machine in the world ;)
Love it! I can't remember how many times I've left a cup of tea on the kitchen counter for two hours.
another option which i love, is timer widgets for everything. It also helps me curb my time on the computer, its so easy to get sucked in, and the timer really helps. I used to use a real kitchen timer, but this is so much easier, and not to mention less clutter.
