I am drawn to anything for the home in royal blue. It started with my dream royal blue sofa that I saw at a store a few months back. Then, I came across a royal blue upholstered headboard - wow! Royal blue is such a fun color that, to me, it also makes a statement - "don't take things too seriously".
It is true that every color has a corresponding emotional response to it. I am not sure how royal blue makes others feel, but it just makes me really happy. I could wake up to a blue tufted headboard every morning.

Sheex Bedding
I'm kinda drooling over all of these right now. Especially that gorgeous bed. So sumptuous!
Is it just me or are most of these not royal blue? The stove (love it!) is royal blue but the other stuff is too grayed or too green to be royal blue, which is a bright, true blue without undertones of anything else.
I love the pop of blue in pic 2, but I want the stove in pic 3 in ORANGE!
Agreed, only the stove looks royal blue, although the blues in the other photos also are nice.
I really don't like this colour but only because it reminds me of the maple leafs.
Ladyyear, Maple leaves are blue??
Agree with post above about the color. The samples look more like Sapphire and Cerulean blue to my eye, but of course monitor display varies.
Nonetheless, I am equally fond of the color and worked it into my guest bathroom, along with rust. This shade of blue works surprisingly well with earth-toned slate and granite tile.
Urbancricket, maple leaVES are not blue, but maple leaFS are....I think ladyyear is referring to the Toronto Maple Leafs, a hockey team.
I moved into my apartment and the bedroom was painted this cobalt blue.. I didn't know what to do with it. Then we added pops of orange and red to it - now the combo is my color crush!
I'm kinda in love with that bed.
@ladyearl, you're right, this does look like Maple Leaf colors. That stove in the third photo could be Rangers blue though.
Never really liked blue until this year. Now passionate about it. Wondering why...
Where is this fantastic stove everyone is talking about? Did they delete the pics before I got here?
I actually, at one point, said I hated blue. I thought it was a boring color that everyone used. But - go deep and sultry like that and I love it. Our entire living area is blue and our bedroom wall too!

@MamaGigi, the stove is the vertical thing in photo #3.
@ellabee, Maybe you're entering a new phase in your life. I've changed favorite colors and palettes several times in part due to life stage changes, although pop media was an influence.
Thanks, @miami :) I was looking for a kitchen stove :)
I HAVE to share my new royal blue couch here. I'm on the royal blue crush bandwagon!!

I just did a post on my blog about my obsession with indigo blue for interiors and fashion!

I am not a blue person, but I love all the different blues tied together in the first shot.
Blue is good esp...the the deep cobalt blue as well as the cool turquoise hues...yummy. I love green(soft or deep) more than blue yet such color is so delightful to look at.
anyone know where to find bedding in this blue? sheets or a duvet?
does anyone know where i can find the large lounge sectional (last image) ? most amazing sofa ever.
Thanks for your thoughts, Miami's Elaine. Sounds like a good possibility.
