Now at the MCA gift shop, some new pieces and a few old:

Above, from top left:
Eames house bird, $195: Charles and Ray Eames augmented the interior "collage" of the Eames House with numerous objects brought back from their extensive travels. The figure of a black wooden bird — evidently one of their most prized objects of American folk art — has stood in the centre of their living room for over fifty years. Seen as an accessory in many of the Eameses' photographs, the bird figure is from the Appalachian mountain region of the eastern United States. Based on the original artefact and in cooperation with the Eames Family. Solid alder, black lacquer finish, steel wire. 10.8 x 3.5 x 11 inches

Teak Monkey, $195: The teak monkey with the prankster's look and the light coloured belly, has transformed kids' rooms into jungles and sparked dreams of far-away places since 1951. On Danish television it has a permanent place as a mascot in wildlife programs, and as a prize in quiz shows. Designed by Kay Bojesen. 8 inches tall.

Jeff Koons magnet set, $7.90: The charming, 2 piece acrylic magnet set features Koons' iconic Balloon Dog and Rabbit. An MCA exclusive! The Rabbit measures 4" x 1.5", The Dog is 2" x 2.7".

On/Off Switch by Tobias Wong, $250: Tobias Wong's wireless Light Switch, in Lucite box with magnetic closure, is a classic Tobias creation, melding wit with functionality. The switch wirelessly controls a light up to 100 feet. It is available as a 14k gold Limited Edition of 500. 4" x 6" x 3".

Smoke House, $38.50: This charming little smoke house, or raucherhauschen, is made of solid beech that sits atop a metal plate. Simply position a lit cone of incense (three are included) on the metal and place the house over it; air comes in the doors and incense "smoke" out of the chimney. Imported from Germany. Boxed.
