This makes me wish I had a window in my kitchen :(
I've got these simple, white, folding pull-down shades in my kitchen (the whole first floor has them -or roller shades on the back doors). Sometimes I think about something bolder, but I think I'd change my mind way too much- so I stick with simple... plus my parents spent a pretty penny outfitting all the windows with new shades/blinds as a housewarming...
bottom row far right is crazy ingenious
looks to be a small place where the kitchen is maybe in the same room as the living room and when one wants to hid say the irty dishes, just pull the fringe and beaded curtain. Great idea! Nice touch, Molly, on putting this curtains as mini-makeover on AT!!!
When I moved into my first apartment, we realized that the back door - in the kitchen - had its window wide open to the back patio and our neighbors could see right into the apartment. I made a pair of cafe curtains out of an old skirt, and they travelled to my next apartment to be used in the kitchen as well!
I realy enjoy the curtain made entirely of old dish towels - nice touch.
you know, i really don't care for cafe curtains at all. i like roller/roman shade in a nice print for the kitchen. oh, and #9 blew my mind. love it
