We've often written about decorated stairwells before, ones featuring fabulous paint jobs, unique tiling, custom drawer builds and more, but these whimsical Halloween stairs made us stop and smile today so we knew we had to share their secret...
These wonderful Halloween stairs are decorated using custom designed stickers by sticviews. There are sticviews designed for walls, windows, tile, appliances, laptops and cars, all fully personalized to meet your specific needs. Sticviews are made of four different materials depending on the proposed application, and can be used indoors and out. We like the fact that these films are completely customizable in terms of size, shape and pattern, and appreciate that the company prides itself on its green credentials.
These would certainly be an easy way for a renter to jazz up a dismal staircase or hide an ugly appliance, and we bet any kids in the home will love them!

I have to admit I loathe holiday decorations!
I'm sorry - the very idea that huge stickers are somehow "green" because the company uses Dell computers and doesn't maintain inventory is laughable: This crap - like most holiday decorations - is just gonna end up in landfill...
Love it. So much fun. Digging the holiday spirit of these adhesives.
I'll take three weeks of holiday decor I can put up and enjoy year after year vs. decorating trends that are hot for a year and then ends up in the trash.
Have a cocktail and enjoy the festivity. You'll be better for it.
adorable!
Buying renewable energy and having a comprehensive recycling plan are good sustainable strategies. But their value is diminished when a company so obviously tries to overreach by burying them amongst a list of questionable or disingenuous value--like keeping low stock or buying Dell computers. Just about all electronics are energystar rated; it is the minimum performance level these days.
And I don't think these decorations are necessarily any better than any other decoration that can be reused year after year.
But they are still fun and cute. And I think appliques are indeed a great way to jazz up a renter's apartment (although personally I find those available on Etsy to be more abode-relevant).
